We are not morning people. I wake up earlier than Rob, but never before nine. This week has been full of early mornings and I hope that one day when we’re old we’ll get up with the sun and be that little old couple having breakfast together at our favorite restaurant. At least every once in a while…
This is the look I want to go for as a bride: natural, comfortable and pretty!
I love love love the detailing on this dress. I’m thinking about getting a bunch of muslin very soon and trying my hand at making a mock up of what I’m thinking for my dress and to see if I am actually capable of it.
On Sunday I’m going to a friend’s wedding in North Carolina. I’m pretty excited because when I started talking to her about it, she’s incorporated alot of the details I was considering for ours (like homemade apple butter and caramel apples for favors!). I’m going up to take some photos for her, which I haven’t done for real in a while and hopefully it goes well! It’s mostly for fun, and I’m not fancy and don’t have a digital camera so I’m gonna use the 35mm. Gonna go talk at Grant at the Fstop before I go.
Lots of good things are happening right now in my life, and I’m so incredibly grateful for everything. Our planning has been put on the back burner for so long for lack of time and money, but now we are finally getting to a place of calm and happy and comfortable that now I’m finally ready to get to work! I’ll keep you guys updated!

An update: So we have decided to postpone the wedding until next year. With all the moving, my sister’s wedding and now me searching for a new job, we haven’t nearly been able to put the amount of time and money into the planning that we would like to be able to. We both agree that waiting will be better for us in the long run as we will actually be able to have the wedding we want and not be broke after. I know this little blog has been quiet lately as we have been deliberating on this and I have been preoccupied with my job search. I assure you that as I begin work and we start planning again I will be posting more! I may even make Rob post some things! So, for all of you out of towners and everyone else, the date will be NEXT October and I will let you know as soon as we finalize a date! We can’t wait!!

Make sure you talk to someone who knows about flowers and find out what will be in season the month you are getting married. Out of season flowers can be ALOT more expensive!

This is pretty much exactly what I want us to wear for our wedding! Someone find me this dress!! Minus the hat for Rob because he’ll say, “I’m not wearing that dumb hat,” like he does when I try to get him to try on old man hats at the store.
